He finally did IT. We were at Garry's parents house, and after Garry and I had mowed their lawn, we were sitting out on the back deck just relaxing. Carson had decided he was thirsty so he went scavenging through the house which is normally not a big deal because Grandma and Grandpa don't usually have anything that he can get into that he shouldn't. However, today was different. He comes out of the house coughing and spitting, and I asked him what happened. Grandma Kay Kay went to check to see what he could have gotten into and Carson kept telling me, yuck, yuck. Grandma Kay Kay came out with a small little pyrex dessert dish that she had put a tiny amount of cleaning products in to clean their rings. Carson had drank the solution... Luckily it was just some dish soap, and glass cleaner by Melalueca. I told her it probably wasn't a big deal, it was such a small amount, less than an ounce, that it probably didn't do anything, and asked isn't Melalueca all natural anyway??
Garry decided he would call poison control anyway just to be safe. And I was quite impressed because he actually had the number to Poison Control programmed into his phone, which I never knew. Anyway, they told us that the dish soap if anything might give him diarrhea, but the only ingredient to worry about would be the alcohol in the glass cleaner. The glass cleaner had already been diluted, and then was diluted again when she combined them for the cleaning solution, so I was sure it wouldn't do anything. Poison Control told us to make sure he drank some more water to dilute it in his body even further. And then to give him some sweet snacks, that would counteract anything it might do to his body.
So Carson ate some fruit snacks, and we gave him a box of raisens to snack on. After having fluids pushed on him, he decided he wanted to watch Beast and Belle, i.e. Beauty & the Beast, which is currently only available at Grandma Kay Kay's house.
He took his box of raisens and had a camp out in the bedroom watching his movie. We all were sitting on the back deck again, and I hear a panicked scream come from the bedroom. I go back to see what the matter is, and he says "mom, it's stuck" I said, oh no, buddy what's stuck, and he starts pointing up his nose and shows me his box of raisens. At this point it is all I can do to stop laughing and help him get it out. His little nostrils are just big enough to stick his finger in, and apparently a raisen, but not quite big enough for his finger to get the raisen out. I pinched the clear side shut, and told him to blow. After 3-4 hearty blows, the raisen finally came out. And the day was saved. We had a good talk about why it was important to not put anything up your nose!
And remarkably there were no adverse affects caused by the cleaning solution!

What a day. Poison Control. Never a good word. The last time we called was when I accidentally put flouride in Isaac's eye instead of eye drops. No big deal...we just had to flush our 2 month old's eyes out with whole milk.
