We live in the ghetto

When I was in college, I lived in these green apartments, and we fondly called them the Green Ghetto. For college, it really wasn't a bad place to live, but we lived in the ghetto, so we sort of expected small acts of destruction. However, when we moved to Spokane, Garry and I really felt like we chose the nicest apartment that we looked at. It is nearly 1100 sq. feet, with cathedral ceilings, and a beautiful view of the water tower. (Okay so that's not why we moved here) But we chose this place over several others that had playgrounds, and club houses with workout equipment, and pools because we genuinely thought we had found a pretty nice apartment for the money we were spending.

We made it an entire year before we became victims of vandalism. GRRRR! The police told us it was a crime of opportunity. And unfortunately Garry had left his moon roof cracked. The sad part was it happened in the forty-five minutes between when he came home and parked and when I came home from work. He had been so nice, to make Rice Krispie treats for my little church choir, and had run back out to his car, and the "perpatraitors" had broken in and stolen his stereo, and speakers, along with a his box of equipment and papers for 5th grade beginning band. That part was the most annoying. Who wants stuff for 5th grade band, except someone who teaches band. It's utterly useless!

After being broken into again after school started, and the car being totally secured, we decided we had become targets, and now are the proud renters of a garage. Angry words!
