The kids and I went to visit my mom for part of spring break before my sister Jennifer moved to Virginia, and it just happened to be April Fool's. This is the first year that I thought I would try to prank Carson. I made meatloaf cake, and asked him if he wanted to eat dessert first, he takes one look at it, and says ya, but that's meatloaf....Apparently I should have been more sneaky.
Then for dessert, we had corn on the cob cupcakes, and mashed potato and gravy ice cream, Carson just laughed at me, I didn't pull a fast one over on him, but at least he had a good time :)
Kaiya was mad when we told them they could have cake first, and then she just got meatloaf on her plate...total disappointment....you can kind of see on her face...They were funny.

So what's on top of the meatloaf? Is that dyed mashed potatoes?
Is the pink stuff the meatloaf? You are going to have to explain that one.-Lisa
The meatloaf was on the bottom, and I frosted it with instant potatoes infused with beet juice to turn them pink.
