The wishbone

We like to cook Thanksgiving dinner at home. I think it is important to spend holiday with our kids, even if we don't celebrate on the holiday itself, we always try to do something with just our family. Carson helped Garry prepare the "bird steak" and was very excited to do the wishbone with his dad. It took several days for the wishbone to be dry enough, and Carson was thrilled to get his wish...

..........Another story.............

We explained to Carson that he wasn't supposed to tell anyone his wish, because then it wouldn't come true. About a week later, I asked him if it had come true yet, and he almost slipped up, but didn't end up telling me. When we were at my mom's house for Christmas, he was a little upset one day, and I asked him what was up. He told me he was mad because he was sure his wish would come true by Christmas, so I finally got it out of him, what he had wished for.

He wished he could fly! As I was trying to suppress my laughter, I asked him why he thought he was going to fly, he told me that was his wish, and they had to come true. Then I reminded him that he had received the buzz light year flight pack and wings for Christmas, maybe that was one way of getting his wish, the kid doesn't miss a beat, and says, Buzz Lightyear does not fly, he falls with style.

Another laugh for another day with the LaPlantes!
