A couple weeks ago, I had picked Carson up from school. I asked him how his day was, and what he had done. That day, he told me all about the little girl who had asked him if she could see his pee pee. I said, well why did she want to see your pee pee? Well, she said if I showed her my pee pee that I could look at her pee pee. So we had a long talk about who gets to see your pee pee, and the list is very short. I was sort of hoping we would have a little more time before we had to have this conversation, but he seemed to understand that it was important that we don't show anyone at school our pee pee's. I tried to reinforce to him that it wasn't naughty, it is private, and we don't show anyone our private parts.
Fast-forward to this week.
After the first incident, I had also talked with the teacher, just wanting to make her aware of the situation, assuring her that I wasn't upset there are just somethings that are not okay, and certainly not at school. She agreed, and I hoped that we would be done talking about it.
Well, I picked Carson up, and the teacher wanted to tell me that there had been another incident. This same little girl had asked Carson and another boy if she could look at their pee pees, and of course she would then show them hers.
I asked Carson what had happened, and his eyes get big, mom, they showed their pee pees, but I didn't. I asked him if he had looked at their pee pees, and he said, nope! I went and told teacher that they were looking at pee pees, but I didn't want to because they were private.
I was so proud of him! I asked him if he got in trouble for telling, and he said nope, teacher said it was a good thing to do. I was so glad that what we had talked about seemed to sink in to him!
