I called the dentist back, but they had already left for the day. So at 6:45 this morning they returned my phone call and told me if we could still come in they would be more than happy to see us today. We hurried and scrambled to get there, and made it!
Carson was a little afraid at first because he had remembered going to the dentist with me, and they put the mask on my face to give me happy gas. He thought they were going to poke him. As we walked into the office, they had a big play tunnel with slides, some video games along the wall, and a prize machine kids could put tokens into if they were good for their appointment. Suddenly all was well with the world!
Carson played for a while, and when the assistant came to take him back he got pretty shy, and wouldn't talk to her. I asked if he wanted me to come with him, and he shook his head no. I said, do you want to go by yourself? He smiles and says yep!
He did his whole appointment by himself, I was very proud of him. He has been digging at one of his teeth, so I was afraid he might need a filling, but we were very happy to come away cavity free!
