Decorate the Christmas Tree. Fa la la la la la la la la!

Last year, we decided our apartment was too small for a real tree, and so we just put up the very small fake one that Garry had from before we were married. Which was fine, but this year I decided I wanted a real tree. I have always loved having a real tree, and we would have one off and on while I was growing up, my mom was somewhat allergic to real trees, and some years were worse than others. But I always loved having the real tree smell, it just makes it so cheery!

We haven't yet ventured out to the woods to cut one out of the forest, but we got a real tree! It took Garry almost an hour to cut the end of the stump off so it would drink the water, because we had this cheap crappy saw that would only slide one way and wasn't the sharp way. But we finally got it done and in the stand, and Carson was very excited to put the "jewels" and "tree topper" onto the CHRISTMAS TREE!

One of the other things I was very excited about this year, was the advent train I found at Target. It has a little cubby for each day of December that you put a little treat into, and then of course countdown the days 'till Christmas, Carson has mostly just enjoyed eating the candy!
