We went with Garry to the Christmas Tree Auction put on by the Classical Christian Academy, remember last year? I'm not playing with the band right now, I got the kids all dressed up, and we had a night on the town. All the kids who go to this school spent most of the night on the dance floor, but there was one little girl maybe a little older than Carson that didn't dance with anyone, and it took me like 40 minutes for me to convince him to go ask her to dance. I usually put all of my pics in collages, because A, I don't like people being able to just cut and paste them off my blog, and B, I usually have so many that it would take forever to upload them, but this sequence just had to be told.
Though it is blurry, this was his first attempt, and he was so funny because he got very close, and then chickened out like 3 times and would come back and sit by me.
When he finally did work up the courage to ask her, for the longest time, he would just stand there with his hands in his pockets acting all nonchalant about it.
And finally he gets close, and looks at me like this and then runs back over to me, to tell me, if you don't stop taking pictures, I'm not going to ask her, so then I put the camera away.
He was finally so brave, and then the little girl ended up being too shy too, and told him that she was 6 and she wouldn't dance with him. Poor kid, shut down!
One of the other band wives had observed the whole ordeal, and comes up and says come on buddy lets go dance, it was too cute!
Then he spent most of the rest of the evening dancing with his baby sister, oh so cute!
She loves him so much!
She was so funny, and when she was tired of dancing, she would just sit down, and poor Carson would pull her up to dance again.
Then they really started to get their moves on.
Finally Carson just kept trying to convince her to just dance a little longer
My funny boy, dancing with his baby sister.
He was very patient with her!
He started to get fancy after a while, and added in some twirling at the end of this one.
