Happy Birthday Princess Natalie!

I cannot believe my baby girl is 1 year old! I can remember thinking Carson was so big, and thinking he was such a big boy when he was one, Natalie still seems like a baby to me. I let her feed (or try) herself with a spoon for the first time on her birthday, and it was as I expected, very messy! But she enjoyed herself, and made a sufficient mess so it's all good :) We were just going to wait and have cake at her party, but Carson told us you can't not have cake on your birthday. I told Garry it was sad that we were making a cake for a baby who wasn't going to get any.
She really is getting to be quite a big girl! She has started crawling the typical crawl, and she will pull herself up and walk as long as she is holding on to someone. She will eat ANYTHING. I know that I am totally fortunate in this area, both of my kids love to eat whether it's baby food or big kids food, they just want it in them. She insists on pulling her bows out of her hair nearly daily, and it drives me nuts.....Garry thinks it is funny. At her one year checkup, she weighed 20 pounds 6 ounces, and was 29 inches tall. Both right at the 50%. Her head on the other hand, off the charts. She loves going to concerts and dancing to the music. She really is just a mellow little girl. It.Is.Awesome!

We decided to wait and have her party on 4th of July weekend so that Grandma Hope, Jenn, and Tara could come up, it was super fun to get it all ready. I told Garry we need to have parties more often, our house gets much cleaner!
We made enough food for an army, I wasn't sure how many people were actually going to come, but I thought better safe than sorry.......We had plenty.

I borrowed a gigantic cup cake pan from one of our friends, and it was amazing! The cupcake was the size of Natalie's head, which the dr. continues to remind me is huge.... She was so funny eating her cake, very delicately she picked one sprinkle off at a time until she got a taste of the frosting, and then started scraping it off to eat it. I don't know that she every really made it to the cake, but the frosting was yummy!

We had a pretty good turn out, and it was fun to celebrate with friends and family.
She received a lot of gifts, and we are very thankful for all who were able to share in Natalie's big day!

She's so cute! I'm jealous of all Natalie's hair! And I'm glad you had enough food to feed an army, I think I ate about 1/2 of that fruit dip, amazing.

She is very, very adorable. I can't believe she is a year old either. How time flies. :)
