Easter 2010

Easter was fun this year, we had just gotten back from our trip, so we hurried to clean the house, and get everything in order so we could host the Easter festivities for Garry's family this year. The Easter bunny as well as Santa Claus usually tries to make sure everything is ready to go with plenty of time, but this year the Easter Bunny got oh so tired, and decided to go to bed early, and just get up early enough to beat the kids out of bed. The Easter Bunny had just layed back down when Carson came bounding up the stairs, "mom, the Easter Bunny did come!"

I saw these cute little felt bags on a Martha Stewart podcast, and thought it would be fun to make one for all of the kids, and it was such a cheap project too! I made all seven bags for about $5 because felt was on sale at JoAnn's. It was a good project also, usually I get these ideas in my head that seem, "Not that hard...." and then turning into a huge time commitment, because I apparently think it's much easier than it seems, but it only took me about 2 1/2 - 3 hours to finish all of them. Not too bad I think!

We have collected quite a few egg dying cups the last few years, so we decided to break them all out! Egg dying was a snap. We only had 2 1/2 rounds and we had completed all of the eggs, totally the way to go.

Because family gatherings sometimes turn into boring marathon sessions for the kiddos, we decided to make some catepillars out the extra egg cartons we had, they turned out pretty cute.
