So I have been following this blog for quite a while, and I have been so inspired by all of the things she creates! But as life never tends to slow down, I haven't ever really tried to do anything, I just keep stock piling all of the idea's for "someday."
One of the things she does quite frequently is "re-purposing" items. Where you don't have to make a whole new item from scratch, but you adapt it to suit your own needs.
I was shopping at The Children's Place last week at their end of summer $2.99 sale, and came across a couple little tops that were in the bigger girl section for only $2.99. And I was inspired! So as I started to work on this, the thing I absolutely loved the most was the cute little decorative eyelets on the bottom hem, I just thought they were adorable!
I don't have a serger, so I just zig-zagged all the way down the sides, and then trimmed the extra fabric off, and then shortened the straps so that they would fit Natalie.
I was excited that there was enough fabric left over to make a matching little purse with the cute eyelet's for decoration.
And...... Natalie loves it! I tried to get her to take it off after we took some picture's, and she answered with her classic, foot stamp....NO! MOM!
I LOVE it!
