4th of July

It was a little different not having Carson for the 4th of July this year, but it made me a little reminiscent of when we just had Carson at this age and how fun he was. We went to a parade in Coeur d'Alene, and it was fun. Our first really HOT day, but I told Garry I am determined to not complain about the heat this year, I never really felt like summer fully came last year, it was super late into July before we even experienced any hot weather and then it felt like fall came too early and then it was cold again, so I have been relishing in the beautiful sunshine.....Natalie has been glistening :) We left early because she was getting pretty flushed, and I forgot to grab sunscreen, but we still got to see about an hour of the parade, it was long! On the way home, Natalie was throwing her hair bows from the back seat so I told Garry he needed to be a little more festive, he agreed........for a moment :)
We had a BBQ at our house with Garry's family, and the little kiddos loved playing in the pool to keep cool all day.
Garry didn't have a gig this year, and I love, love, love the firework show downtown Spokane, so we took Natalie down and sat in front of the Opera House. Natalie got really scared this year, which only surprised me because the sound never even phased Carson, but I suppose it is pretty loud and a little scary for most kids. She adjusted by the end of the show and then enjoyed the finale, and fell into blissful slumber by the time we got home.
I love the 4th of July, and was glad to spend it with my fam.
