It was soooooo cold! It was a pretty long day, and Natalie just kept looking at me, as if to say, "I'm a good baby, why are you doing this to me?" She was all bundled up, so only her little face was cold, but it was a freezing day. Natalie's a trooper!
At the awards ceremony, as they were announcing each category winner, Carson kept saying, "oh, man, not the blue kids again." In reference to their uniform colors. At the end of the awards ceremony, he was so upset because his green kids didn't get any trophies. He kept asking, "mom, my green kids did such a good job, how come they didn't get any trophies, that's not fair!" He was quite upset about it, but it was endearing because he really believes that the marching band are his "kids." I'm not sure about the day he finally realizes that he is 4 and not 14?!?
Homecoming Football Game - 10/16/09
We (the band groupies) had a pretty good time at homecoming. The team lost by.... a lot. However, it was the best performance the marching band kiddos have had this season!Natalie is a super trooper!
Royal City Show - 10/17/09
So after the trauma of the Joe Albi show, Carson was so pleased that his "green kids" got some trophies. They came away pretty well, including the grand sweepstakes, it was very exciting! On the way home, Carson decided to eat some pop tarts. He promptly fell asleep, and as I look back there, he had just chomped through both of them like a sandwich, it was quite humorous!
