What a Guy!

Despite my efforts to drink between 72 & 84 ounces of water every day, my feet have begun ballooning. I talked to my doctor about it, because it was so weird! I would be on my feet teaching all week, and they would be completely normal, and then when I would try and relax over the weekend, Saturday and Sunday they would get huge. It didn't seem to make sense to me, you would think it would be the opposite, but the doctor told me (which I should have known) that the more water you drink, the faster it flushes your kidney's, and you will be less prone to swelling.

That made sense to me, I always do better drinking water while I'm teaching because I'm up and around, and I get more thirsty. On the weekends, however, I just don't tend to drink as much. So that seemed to help for a few weeks, but now it doesn't seem to matter how much water I'm drinking. I am in the bathroom constantly, but my feet like I said are ballooning!

Today, when we got home from school, Carson was begging me for mac & cheese, I really didn't want to make it for him because when he eats in the afternoon then he doesn't want to eat dinner, but is ravenous before he goes to bed. After 30 minutes of begging and whining, I decided to strike up a deal....

I said hey Carson do you really want mac & cheese? He told me that he did, and I asked him if he wanted to make a deal. He said, sure. So I told him if he would rub my feet for 10 minutes then I would make him mac & cheese. He says okay, and he actually did a pretty good job! At one point, he got up and stradled my leg so he could do it "really hard." It was a nice afternoon!
